Hi all,
well, having got through the HoP Idol2 process, it looks like I'll now be writing each Friday for your perusal. On that basis, I figured that it would be a good time to let you know a few things about me. You know, so that you can personal in the comments section ;)
So here's my gaming background- I started when I was 6, and quickly got sucked in to the Games Workshop hobby (this was around the time of Adeptus Titanicus, for those who want a date.) I've played pretty much all ogf the GW games over the years, and in the last 5 years I've spread my wings into Warmahordes, Historical games, Flames, Infinity, Mantic etc. Outside of Wargames, I'm a board gamer and card gamer, and dabble with rules writing and strategy/tactics (from a historical perspective.) So I'm a bit of an all-rounder. Oh, and best not forget to mention that I am a Fluffy-WAAC player- ie I'm happy to play friendly scenarios or tourney-style games, it really depends on the environment and other people playing the game.
Anyway, the point of this is: What do you guys want to read about on a Friday? No-one benefits from me spewing forth reams of text if it's not want HoP regulars want to read- so is it rules discussions? Strategy? Models? Editorials? Or something weirder? (Not SynSinn weird, obviously!) Of course, I'll probably deviate from the plan every now and again, but the question for now is- what do you, the reader, want to see on here on Fridays? Let me know in the comments, and the first of the regular posts will go up next week.
Cheers,
Gar

[Musings of a Game Store Owner] GGP: Go Your Own Way
Making your designs appear in someone's FLGS is more work than a lot of people know. We previously talked about third party publishing and all the concerns that go with that avenue.
What happens when you don't trust a third party to convey your idea properly? Or there aren't vendors interested in your idea? Or you just got locked out from those avenues?

New Member Monday - Tube Sock Advisory
Hey folks, welcome to an increasingly less unreliable week at the House of Paincakes!
We've got an interesting week ahead of us - new members, new news and even a new... well, you'll just have to wait for that one. I'm going to go ahead and advise that you don't wear socks on Friday if you plan on reading the blog. Any socks or other such cloth foot coverings are likely to be knocked clean off in an energetic fashion. At the very least, don't wear shoes lest they get damaged during any sudden violent removal of socks that should happen. Though still wear the socks, the experience is unique.
Those of you with weak stomachs and less than perfect control over your bowels/bladders should probably have a bucket on hand.
Friday will be pretty exciting is what I'm saying.

The Politically Incorrect Gamer: Chuckle and Shrug
Hey, folks. SinSynn here.
So like most of my plans, my previously scheduled 'argument with Loqacious' post is getting put on the back burner. Neither of us seem to be coherent at the same time, which makes debating with me either annoying and frustrating or completely impossible, depending on who's coherent and who isn't.
Not that coherence is something I strive for, mind you.

Anyway, I wanted to share some jokes with you.
Have you heard this one?
Q: What's the difference between a Frenchman and a trampoline?
A: You take your shoes off before jumping on a trampoline.
Hardy-har, amiright?
Yeah, I'm sorta technically French. Or of French descent, or whatever you wanna call it.
