Ah life. It’s bigger, you know? Bigger than you. And me. But you’re not me. The... something something something - distance in your eyes.
What were we doing again? Ah, Top X! Let’s take a look at more blogs that aren’t Strictly Average and are probably much better for it.
1) Miniature Wargaming Conversions - Asst. Knight Paladin Stuff
Lauby: I know MWC writes for us and Kirby and probably has enough fame, But Jesus Christ that is cool.
Brent: I agree with you; I wish I had the mad talent to look at a Sentinel and think, “That’ll make a good face!” Then do it!
Lauby: I know, right? Dude's gotta be part mechboy. Probably on his mom's side.
2) Bringer of Victory - 4th Edition Codices and Bottleneck Builds
Lauby: Nikephoros really hit the nail on the head with this one. And simultaneously - but subtly - skewered GW's past design paradigm.
Brent: I agree! I’m glad this one made the grade this week, because I had a good think after reading it the first time.
Lauby: Oh God, here it comes. Its those wang shaped rocks all over again. What horrible sexual euphemism ahev we today?
Brent: No, nothing like that! Nike’s ‘Bottleneck’ concept is a good way of describing a problem most of us are aware of but haven’t put into words. I think this is a concept which might have staying power. Nike is a very capable theoretician, as evidenced by this idea.
3) The Emperor's Codex - Store Round up 3-12 Tournament Edition
Brent: I’ve really been enjoying this blog lately. Drkmorals is a great addition to the Blogosphere, by which I mean he drops fun content on his blog and participates in commenting on the work of his peers. I think this one is going to be an IP before too long, right Lauby?
Lauby: There's nothing that makes that a surer thing than you declaring it. Haha! I can see why you dig his stuff what with your commitment to jpegs and all. Though as an added bonus it looks like his shop may be full of those competitive hobbyists I keep hearing about.
Brent: Yea, I thought I used a lot of pictures! Now I know I can use more!
4) Unite All Action - Tutorial adding much-needed weight to your models and it doesn't cost very much
Brent: This is such a timely post, and a great Top Tip, too! (Not to be confused with Top Tip, Too, my article on Bell which ended up being mostly a discussion of gun cases.)
Lauby: Stay on target Brent; just the tip... that's here in front of us.
Brent: Well... I may end up stealing this for Top Tip Four, Son of Top Tip - but that’s what I do, appropriate good ideas. This idea is awesome - and timely, because I’ve got a crap-ton of old, metal Hormagaunts that don’t want to stand upright.
Lauby: Now if only American pennies were as useful as the 2p piece. I dare you to find a more reviled coin.
5) Piedmont Association for Gaming Excellence - The GM and the Observer
Lauby: One of the great things about this here blog network is that there is a ton of room for all those other games we play. There's a lot out there besides the wee plastic mans. Chances are if your in the FLGS, then its only a matter of time before you start getting ideas for all those dice you own.
Brent: I really, really enjoyed this one! The picture was perfect - it sucked me right in! My inner geek was ready to grab some dice and argue about how we’re going to roll up our attributes!
Lauby: I really liked this bit because it's also fairly applicable to papa wargaming as well. All those same observers can be found around the Warhams too.
Brent: Ah, lost in thought..! (What’s better, 3d6 reroll 1’s or 4d6, no rerolls take 3 highest?)
Lauby: Damn, I knew this would happen. Brent. Brent! BRENT!
Brent: (I wonder if the Yahtzee rule is still in effect ‘cross this great land?)
Lauby: Only one thing to do... I have to play along. Brent. We're using a point buy system and you all have to be Thi-keen
Brent: I’m sold! Let’s throw down a game and kill a Beholder!

9) Warmonger Gameday - Warmonger Gameday Review Heavy Gear Blitz Locked & Loaded!
